How to choose a bedside lamp

A bedside lamp has one job at night: enough light to read by without lighting up the whole room. So choosing one is mostly practical: how much room is on the table, how high the light sits, and how soft it feels.
Measure the table first, and leave room for what lives there: a phone, a glass of water, a book. Then think about height. If you read in bed, the light should sit around shoulder height when you're sitting up, so a taller lamp suits a low table and a shorter one a high table. The lamps below run from the smallest to the largest. Every price is the live price on our store, and anything that sells out drops off this page automatically.
