Acceptable use policy
What we will and won't make a keepsake from.
Draft for review. These terms are a working draft prepared alongside the product and have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer or finalised against Indian consumer-protection and data-protection requirements. They are published here for transparency during the build, not as a binding agreement.
Why we have this policy
We turn a photo into a physical object of someone’s likeness. That’s a meaningful thing to do with someone’s image, so before we generate or print anything, we ask you to confirm you have the right to use the photo and the right to have the people in it depicted this way. We keep a record of that confirmation alongside your order.
What we don’t accept
- Photos of minors without a guardian’s involvement. If the subject is a child, we require that a parent or guardian is the one uploading the photo and giving consent on their behalf.
- Copyrighted content you don’t have rights to. This includes film or TV stills, other artists’ illustrations or artwork, stock photography you haven’t licensed, and branded characters or logos.
- Public figures depicted without their rights. We won’t create a keepsake of a celebrity, politician or other public figure unless you can show you have the right to use their likeness commercially.
- Offensive or illegal content. Anything sexually explicit, hateful, violent, or depicting illegal activity will not be processed.
How this is enforced
You confirm your rights over a photo and the likeness of the people in it at the point you upload it, as part of the consent step in Create Yours. If we identify content that falls into any of the categories above — before or after payment — we will not process it, and we will cancel and refund any related order rather than proceed.
Reporting a concern
If you believe a photo submitted to us shouldn’t have been, email support@1labs.ai with as much detail as you can, and we will look into it.
